I have a brand new build of windows 7 x32 on an HP Business 8710w Mobile Workstation laptop.  I just installed the latest SWV and while everything works correctally about 15 min after no activity the laptop BSODs.  The BSOD is very reproducable.

I did uninstall SWV to confirm .  A very quick review of the minidumps indicates ntfs.sys as being involved.  rkstatio8710w Mobile Workstation 8710w Mobile Workstation 8710w Mobile Workstation  8710w Mobile Workstationf fS

We were having similar issues

We were having similar issues with the HP laptops - try updating the Video driver ( yes sounds odd, but it worked!)

let me know if that helps

Upgrading the drivers?

Hi,

What Jebba says is correct.

We had seen some similar issues with old Intel Graphics drivers on HP Elite Laptops on Windows XP SP2/SP3 that were resolved by upgrading the driver.

But since you are Windows 7 and have latest drivers as it is a new laptop, chances are less that this might help but it is worth trying updating drivers as the controllers may be old :-)

In case the issue still persists, please contact Support as suggested with a full memory dump.

Regards,

Bala
