Calendar Archving via EVPM

I wrote simple EVPM Script to archive calendar items older than 21 months, delete the Calendar from Exchange, and assign a retention category to Calendar Items:

When I run it, it creates a Calendar Folder in the archive, but only archives one item. When I "run now" it archives one calendar item.

I set the mailbox policy to Archive Unexpired Calendar Items and Do Not Archive pending reminders to off.

Has anyone see behavior like this? Any help appreciated

Using EV9.0.3

[Directory]
DirectoryComputerName = directory computer
Sitename = VaultSite

[Filter]
Name = Calendar
CreateShortcut = false
DeleteOriginal = true
UnreadMAIL = true
UseInactivityPeriod = true
InactivityUnits = Months
InactivityPeriod = 21

[MAILBOX]
DistinguishedName = /O=ORG/OU=OU/cn=Recipients/cn=Recipient

[Folder]
Name = \Calendar
Filtername = Calendar
Retentioncategory = Calendar
OverrideArchiveLocks = true

When I apply it I can see it in the hidden the policy in the hidden message:

What do you mean when you say ...

'when you run it, but only archives one item' ?

EVPM will only apply the policy.. not do any archiving.

When you do a 'run now' on the archiving task, you say that also only archives one item...?

Have you done a DTRACE of the archiving task when you do a 'run now' ?  Look for IsEligible....

Have you done a DTRACE of the archiving task when you do a 'run now' ?  Look for IsEligible....  I'll try this

Silly question but when doing a run now from the VAC you haven't got it just to do 1 item?  There's an option to archive all eligible items or specify a number.

Karl... thanks for the idea, but I'm archving all eligible items,

The thought crossed my mind that they may be syncing their mailboxes with mobil devices. This could change the properties of the Calendar item. I've heard of that happening.

I let all mailboxes archive in the schuled run with the same results. Any ideas welcome.

THX!

is it consistently 1 message each and everytime?
So the report says like it has 200 items and you do a run now, it archives one item, you run again, one item etc so in theory if you run now 200 times then it will archive 200, if you run now 50 times it archives 50 items?

Doesn't seem right....but anywho, with calendar items, what do you have the policy set to in terms of recurrance and unexpired items etc...how are you determining the amount archived? just through dtrace? through archive explorer etc?

JW... It is archving addititional Calendar Items as the day increments, so it's only archive items that are exactly 21 months old.

Policy is set to archive Expired Calendar Event and Pending Notifications. I also added IPM.Schedule* to message classes.

TY JW!!

That is truly bizarre, is there any chance at all of seeing a dtrace cos i cant quite get my head around it

I thought I'm come back to this to share the issue.

The mailboxes I was trying to archive had an archive run that started that did not finish. => the modified date was changed. When the archiving task came back to it, it did process it bc of this.

There is an etrack on this.
