I work for a banking institution that's developing a new Service Oriented Architecture and we are evaluating the opportunity of adopting an antivirus product in order to scan incoming files.
We are investigating the possibility of calling a scan engine (to be defined) through a Web Service interface.

What Symantec products are callable by API in order to start a virus scan?
Does Symantec Scan Engine export Web Service interfaces, or does it export other types of interfaces such as CLI or API?
