Can backup exec be set to ignore barcodes?

I have a HP 1/8 G2 autoloader has a barcode reader which cannot be turned off. Can backup exec be set to ignore the barcode label on the tape? Our offsite storage company puts their own barcodes on our tapes for their records, we have no need for barcodes, when the first job starts, the tape label set in backup exec is overwritten with the barcode value which can be a real pain.
Thanks

If the robotic library does not have a bar code reader or bar code rules do not need to be used, perform the following:
1. Click Devices on the navigation bar.
2. Under Robotic Libraries, right-click the library and click Properties
3. Click the Configuration tab.
4. Clear the Enable Bar Code Rules check box.
5. Click OK
Thanks but that is already un checked.
Ok. So do you want to achieve that backupexec will not label the media at all?
If the media is not labeled already,Backupexec will label it according to prefix configured.
I thought you just wanted to disable barcode labeling.
Backupexec can not use the media without labeling it.
Read page no 191 Topic Media labeling OR http://support.veritas.com/docs/299040
