This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello all,

We have bought 3 brightmail appliances.

The 1st appliance will be used for company email as incoming and outgoing gateway.

The 2nd appliance will be used for bulk email as outgoing gateway only.

Can we deploy a control center to manage different policies for both scanners?

Thanks.

Hello,

You can seperate them with User and Policy Groups or different content filter settings of course. But the important question is what do you want to do spesifically. Do you want to use different Spam&Malware policies or different content policies or different Scanner settings ?

But if you're thinking like totally different policies and settings for each scanner, no you cannot do. The main purpose of using a Control Center is applying configurations and checking logs from one place. So,all scanners under one control center is getting same configuration except Scanner settings.

Regards,

Oykun

As Okyun said, policies are user based, not based on which scanner they hit. You can edit the scanners and those settings are scanner specific, but as far as content filtering policies, those will be enforced on all scanners in the environment.
