One other feature is available for the client version update
How to upgrade a client from a non-manager server using the "Download the client package from the following URL (http or https)" option.

Thanks.
Hello,
No. GUP cannnot update the SEP client version.
Group Update Provider has to play its role with Liveupdate and updating definitions to the clients and not update client version (packages).

GUPs can update only content = AV definitions and not product versions. This can be done already from SEPM Manager. There have been already some ideas about such fucntionality posted - you may want to support for that.
Thanks all for the cofirmation.
