  • 1.  Can GUPs provide product upgrades to clients yet?

    Currently using SEP 11.0.4202.75 in a Windows XP environment. Planning to upgrade to 12.1.  If I upgrade my management server (Windows server 2008) to 12.1, and then upgrade my GUPs (Windows server 2003), can I use the GUPs to distribute the upgrade to 12.1 to the remaining clients?  I see that this feature was the topic of some discussions in 2010 but in searching the forums I couldn't find a definitive answer on whether it is possible in 12.1.  Thanks for any assistance.

    No. It is not possible to upgrade the clients using GUP. There is an idea posted in the idea section, it may implemented in future releases.
