    Hello,

    We've a SEP Manager with around 200 groups which are not inheriting any policies.

    Now we want to change the uninstall password for all groups. Is there a way to automate this?

    No.

    if they are inheriting the policy..if not u have to do it on diff groups one by one :)

    I have this same issue. Every time I break inheritance on a group I now have to manage it separately and end up needing to manage multiple groups separately for these sorts of setting changes.

    The policies will stay the same assuming they are all 'Shared' even if you break inheritance

    But for changing the 'General Settings' I believe you need to do it for each group you have broken inheritance on.

    one thing you can try; all the passwords are stored as MD5 hash
    in the smcinstdata key ;
    say if you want to set your new password "Rafeeq"
    to to online md5 converters; get the MD value
    all you have to do is to replace the key as per this document..
    you can run a script to do that.
