Can I deploy Windows Service Packs or Other Hot-Fixes via Altiris Patch Management?

The short answer is no. Service Packs and Microsoft Hotfixes not included during a pmimport are generally not available via Altiris Patch Management, although they can be installed quite successfully using Altiris Software Delivery Solution.
There have been rare instances where a non-security (Windows 2000 post SP4 Update roll-up 1) related bundle was released.
Subscribe to this feature request to let Altiris\Symantec know that the issue is important to the community.

It seems that this will be possible with Altiris Patch Management 7, which will be released in Q1 of this year.

Not yet, but it is on a future roadmap
I know it has been mentioned that it is coming, but I haven't heard anything definitive. V7 for Patch is obviously out.
