    Can i have both? symantec antivirus corporate edition and symantec endpoint protection at server same machine?

    my symantec antivirus corporate edition has a expire license. what should i do?

    uninstall the symantec antivirus corporate edition, then install the symantec endpoint protection?
    or just leave them both installed in my server???

    please help...

    SEP will overwrite the SAV. You cannot install SAV on SEP client machine.
    Hence only one AV (either SAV or SEP)

    No on same Platform.  Yes if u have VMWare on the machine

    i cannot uninstall the SAV? even it is license has expired?

    Do one thong.  Just install a VMWare workstation on the machine and install SEP on that

    open the support case, and ask for cleanwipe tool. you can follow the manual removal steps

    check this KB artcle and select the version to uninstall sav

    i mean.. i want to installs a endpoint client on a server, which has a SAV expired linces.

    it will conflict the system???

    install SEPclient, if sav is 10.x client version, sav client will be removed. No conflict

    it will upgrade SAV. So it can't conflict

    If Endpoint is getting installed on a machine which has SAV client the EP client uninstalls SAV before it gets installed..// but SEPM could be installed without any harm. If you have SAV in your network its recommended that you install the SEPM on your server and migrate the complete n/w of yours and then Install SEP Client on the server.
