I have been requested by my upper management to get SEP 12.1 RU2 installed on some new Surface Pros that are going to be distributed soon. Has anyone successfully done this before? I had the Local MIS attempt to do an install on Friday and with no success.
If anyone has successfully done this please provide any tips or tricks needed to do this successfully.

Just did this last week. No issues as it installed just like I would expect on any other machine. We added all 3 components. It is reprting into the SEPM, getting policy updates, content updates from the GUP, uploading logs, etc.
So far so good
Thank you for that info. Did you have to disable the Microsoft AV prior to install?
We did not. Pulled it out of the box, got it up and running, and installed SEP after we were done just to see what would happen.
Ok great info. Apparently we are installing to Surface Pro's and Dell Tablets running full Windows 8 Pro. So both "should" work. Thanks for your help.

Many thanks for this thread- confirmed: as long as it is the full Win 8 with specs that meet SEP 12.1 RU2's hardware and software requirments, it should install fine.
SEP 12.1 will not install on Windows RT, as seen in previous Surface tablets.

Has anyone had any success installing on a Latitude 10 - ST2. Supposedly its a Windows 8 Pro device.... 32bit though....
