Can I recover the data from HDD after Ghosting?

Hi,

Today my mother board chipset burned. A technician from the vendor replaced the mother board and Ghosted my entire hard disk with his fresh installation hard disk with OS and a set of software pre-installed( as it is a time saving trick for him while setting up a new PC), completely neglecting my valuable data inside my hard disk. My entire hard disk partitions are over written by the ghosting.

Is there any way to recover the deleted data through Ghost? Can I bring back to the previous partitions?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
Thari.

From your perspective as a

From your perspective as a regular user - no. However you can pay 1000s of dollars to data recovery experts and they could potentially get some data (which was not overlaid with new OS files) but this is very expensive. Perhaps you could complain to the vendor asking for a compensation or at least so they can cover your expenses to data recovery specialists?
