  • 1.  Can I reinstall my SEPM to another drive?

    Posted Feb 16, 2015 08:33 PM

Good morning! I had installed our SEPM to the drive where the Windows Server 2003 is installed. The capacity of it is 34.1G, then  I experienced problems of logging in to SEPM. I noticed that the remaining free space available is 253mb.

My question is, can I reinstall my SEPM to another drive that is in the same computer without affecting its licenses? Do it have a migrate function that will move CLIENTS from the old to the new drive?

Thank you and more power to you.

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

As per System requirements SEPM installed drive should have minimum 100 GB free disk space.

First we need backup files and recovery file to move SEPM successfully to another drive/machine.

Do you have backup file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\backup folder? If yes, what's the backup size?

Total how many clients are in the network?

Meanwhile refer this article as well:
