Can I use admin local account to install symantec endpoint protection manager?

  • 1.  Can I use admin local account to install symantec endpoint protection manager?

    Hi everybody,

    I have a problems,

    My company have 2 local, 1 root and 1 sub, I am a manager of sub company,

    and I just have admin local right to install software,

    Can I using that local admin to install SEP Manager ?,

    It needs to run with admin credentials so it should be just fine to use the local admin account.

    Yes. You can.

    The compunication between the client and the SEPM are going to take place via http protocol. The client are not going to directly access any files or folders in the SEPM server. So, even computers that are in workgroups can communicate with SEPM, as long as they are in the same network.
