  • 1.  Can I utilize Active Directory GPO to replace SyLink.xml file on SEP client 12.1?

    Hello,

We have a need to replace SyLink.xml file on our Windows 7 clients, we have client versions 12.1.1 and 12.1.5 in the environment. Is there a way to utilize Active Directory GPO to replace SyLink.xml file? Basically, I am asking if the SEP client has to stop and start the service to replace the XML file.

    Thank you

Yes you coudl create a script to replace the sylink push thru GPO. You would need to stop/start smc and need to disable tamper protection as well.

Disable password protection to make it easy.

And just create a .bat to do.

You should be able to use my script in the below threads:

Slap it in a GPO logon script and you should be away
