  • 1.  Can linux machines (client/server) managed by SEPM installed on windows ?

    Dear All,

    If there are windows and linux mahine and I have SEPM installed on server then shall I install SEP client for linux machine and will it managed by SEPM ,

    Can SEPM managed the SEP client installed on LINUX. Is there any limitation if it also integrated with SNAC.

    No, SAV for Linux cannot be managed by SEPM.

    You can only send logs from SAVFL client to SEPM via SAVFL Reporter

    Linux client can't be managed by SEPM although you can get logs to go into SEPM.

    Hello,

    Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11/12 does not support Linux environment. There is no SEP for Linux. There is SAV for Linux (SAVFL) which is included on the SEP disk download.

    SAV for Linux is designed as a stand-alone product.

    The SAVFL client cannot be managed by the SEPM, although it can report logs back to the SEPM by using SAV Reporter, which was released after SAVFL 1.0.10, but can be downloaded from the following KB article.
