This issue has been solved. See solution.

Today I noticed my 4 package server no longer show on the Pack Servers page under Notification Server Infrastruture. When I attempt to add them back the resource look up fails to report any OS besides WIndows XP?

The reason these machines don't show up is that their Agent information still lists that the Package Server agent is installed on them.

All if you check the All Package Servers collection you will probably notice that the 4 machines are listed there as well.

On your Notification Server

1. Open Control Panel->Scheduled Tasks

2. Right Click on NS.Package Server Status Event Capture Item and choose Run. This should run instantaneously.

3. Refresh your Package Servers screen.

If that doesn't update it run the NS.Daily Scheduled Task.

I tried your suggestion and the task ran but no change. The packager servers do look like the agent is still installed, but list no packages on the servers. The really weird part is that when I attempt to add any resource win2k3 server it can not find any.

I'd be curious to see what the log files said on the package servers. I have rarely seen or heard of a package server disappearing from the console without some major issue.

What log files would you need to see?

The Altiris Agent log files, in .zip format. From one of the package servers, and even the NS if you can get them.

I uninstalled the Altiris agent from the package server and deleted them from the NS. Once I re-installed the Altiris agent and other sub agents all began to work correctly.
