    Hi Team

I'm having a problem in open SEPM console, however, i can open reporting component through IIS but this has limitation
SEPM console get opne and vanish for sometime with the following error on eventvwr: application error 1000 - Faulting application IeEmbed.exe, version 0.9.1.0 faulting module mshtml.dll, version 8.0.60001.18876, fault address 0x0020a1ac

on SCM logs, i found the following errors: StateCheckpointTask connect to secars failed & IISCacheTask connect to secars failed: SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE

I have tried my level best to google that but still no solution, i'm sure my explanation is sufficient enough to get help

Before vanishing is it giving you some errors?
Are you trying to login remotely or locally?
If any other java is installed in your server? If yes try by removing it....
Which is the version of your SEPM?

    1. On the SEPM console it will just said loading until it logs off, but fisrt instance you will see all features like home, monitor, admin, etc but immediately you try to click one it cuts off, if you don't do anything in some seconds it will just hangs and dimm everything there and becomes blank

    2. I'm logging both remotely and can also log on locally but problem is the same

    3. I have uninstalled/reinastalled Java but no help, currently i have got "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 14 & Java(TM) 6 update 20 (64-bit)
    SEPM version is 11.0.2000.1567

Hope that gives more info to get assistance

    Ta

Pls do not install Java in SEPM.At the time of SEPM installation Java will get install(But this will not appear in add/remove programs). If you install any other Java it will cause a lot of problems.......

In A SEPM there in no requirement of Java installation.SEPM will install what ever it wants. In add/remove programs you will see only SEPM.Only for LUA Java is required.I had seen may times just simply uninstalling this extra Java installation solving may problems which is related to console.By the way from where you got the information saying that Java should be installed. Can you point me to any KB?

    SEP 11.0.6 required JRE

Nop, it is not about KB here let's not miss that,, as said earlier when trying to install 11.0.6 from file connect, i get this message "Sun's Java plugin (1.4.2 or later) is required to run this applet" Download JRE

simply it means i cannot upgrade to 11.0.6 unless i meet the reguirements

I had a similar problem a while back trying to open the SEPM remote console. I then tried running as administrator, I was then able to open the reporting. Hope this helps.

    What database are you using???
If its SQL DB then check the SQL logs I am sure you will get something out of it.
