  • 1.  can´t install sep 12.1.5337 on server 2012r2

    hi, after some successfull updates on diverent servers i have now one server where i can´t upgrade / reinstall the sep client.

    i have tried different approaches to get the client running - run clenwipe, reboot, install managed setup or unmanaged basic and so on - nothing helped

    also tried to reinstall the older version - without success.

     

    So hopefully somone can help me.

     

    here is the first failure event from sys_inst.log, also attach the full log from the last failed attampt.

    Can you try only install AV feature ?

    Please post sep_inst.log available %temp%

    create a package without any Definitions and try the install, and also please post the complete SEP_Inst.log as well

    How to export Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client install packages without any definitions or package with Basic Content.

      Post the full SEP_INST.log as well as SIS_INST.log for analysis,

      Also, run the symhelp tool on the system to check for errors.

      hi,

       

      i have now done the installation as mentioned form Rafeeq and that works

      i´m happy but totally confused, this is the badest software in the world

      ...and you've tried installing without content or unmanaged AV only?
