Can we add 2 oracle services in one group in VCS

Hi All,

I'm very new to VCS and need help in adding two oracle services in one group in VCS...

- Can someone please provide me the steps to be followed.

- VCS version is 5.1 and windows 2003 SP2

Yes you do this, although you probably can't use wizards to add 2 Oracle resources, so I would add first Oracle group using wizard and then if 2nd Oracle service shares same disks then just add another Oracle resource and any other resources you need duplicates of (like if Oracle instances are sharing one IP, then no need to add another IP, but need to add another IP if each Oracle instance should have its own IP).
To add dupicate resources, the easiest way is to copy and paste resource and when pasting change name to what is required and then modify resource attributes to what you need.  You also need to link resources and creating them.

If second Oracle instance uses its own disk, then I would question why you want it in same service group, but if you do, you could create a second service group using wizard and then copy resources (choose top level resource and choose copy resource tree), delete resources and then paste into first service group.
