  • 1.  Can we import a new package to SEPM including sepprep utility?

    Good day,

A member of my server team is trying to use the Remote Push function to send out the client to their servers.

Since we are migrating from McAfee, he would like to use the package with the sepprep utility to uninstall McAfee during the remote push. We are using SCCM to migrate our workstations

When we are trying to put this package back in with the sepprep utility included with the package, SEPM says the package already exists.

Are we not able to use the sepprep utility with the remote push functionality?

    Thanks

Depending on which version of the SEPM you are using, this may not be exactly accurate.  But in 12.1, if in the upper right hand corner you choose "install protection..." one of the options is to choose an existing package for deployment and asks you to point to a .zip or setup.exe.  That option should work.

Alternatively, in the Tools folder (which sometimes is a seperate download), there is a folder PushDeploymentWizard which has a clientremote.exe.  This is another standalone method you can use to deploy packages.
