ofcourse you can install
i try and install it before.
But maybe you will take an error message. If you take it you should do that.
Open regedit and navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\
and delete PendingFileRenameOperations
have a nice day
Everything works better when everything works together.
It is possible
Hi Vee_ZZA,
It is certainly possible.
SEP can be installed on windows 7 right from the MR4 version till the latest one MR4MP2.
But there are things that you need to understand.
1. Official support for SEP on windows 7 platform is not available as of now. One month after the windows 7 gets released, there will besupport for SEP.
2. To install SEP on windows 7 follow the article below

If the Windows 7 computers
If the Windows 7 computers are in a production environment, I would recommend waiting for the official release that will be supported with this version of the Operating System which I believe at the moment is MR5. I have heard that Windows 7 is due to be released on October 22, 2009, but of course the date could be earlier as well as later. Remember, until the official release of Windows 7 is released from Microsoft, any users running Windows 7 now would be running a beta version of the software and would be subject to code changes before the official release of the product. However, you are free to test MR4 MP2 on Windows 7, but since the OS is beta, any issues you run into would not be supported.
Yes I agreed on what they
Yes I agreed on what they commented, We are currently have a trial version of windows 7, we are on the period of evaluating the product and we tried to install the SEP client and it works fined. nothing to worry about it symantec and microsoft have a communication so symantec can comply on the requirements within two weeks after microsoft realease an updates.
:-)
Thank you for every comment
Thank you for every comment and KB.
Also good to know
you have to install live update first is only with Windows 7 Beta
Windows 7 RC you can make a normal installation.
Also is good to know that you wont get Network Treat protection on Beta or RC versions.
hope this helps
