Cancel Pending

Am new to BackupExec.  We have version 12.5.   Recently , one of our jobs got stuck and we cancelled the job BUT it has been nearly 3 days and it is still in Cancel Pending.  How do I resolve this?

Have you tried restarting the backup exec services?

Click on Tools->Click on Backup Exec Services->Restart all services.

In case if the job engine service does not restart then kill bengine.exe process.

If you can't restart the services you may have an active alert as well.  Check to see if you have any alerts that are waiting for a response.

If services are stuck, the best and easiest thing to do is reboot the server.  If rebooting is not an option, then you have to check when service is stuck.  Bring up task manager, look for that task, then end it.
