  • 1.  Cancel a scheduled (closed) Software Portal Task

    Is there a way in 7.5 to cancel a scheduled task for software portal? I was testing one out and scheduled the install for a day out. Now under the computer history and the Jobs/tasks pane I don't see the install show up. In my software portal history the request status is Approved(Complete) but I cannot cancel it and it says "You cannot change this request because it is closed." when I choose edit.

    Hi,

    Open Windows Task Scheduler on NS computer and find your task there, you can delete schedule and it will not be executed.

    I didn't see if the first time I looked there but I am seeing it now. NS.Run My Software (Portal) on Schedule.{8242ddfa-46c2-414e-bf2e-7a07c3f5d0c1}

    I also noticed a second task for an install that already completed. Does something come along and clean those up periodically or why would an old one sitll be there?

    Hi again,

    Notification Server has a cleanup task (NS.Scheduled purge of completed Software Portal tasks.) which removes schedules for completed tasks every day.
