Cannot access all websites

This issue has been solved. See solution.

After we installed Symantec Endpoint Protection to our workstations, we cannot anymore access all/any websites...what seems to be the problem...

Hello there. For your problem, you can (1) disable the Intrusion Prevention feature or (2) you can create a host exclusion in the Intrusion Prevention policy.

If you need procedures in creating host exclusion for Intrusion Prevention, here it is : 

 

    1. Log in to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
    2. Click Policies
    3. Click Intrusion Prevention
    4. Right-click the policy in the right-hand pane and click Edit
    5. Click Settings
    6. Check the Enable excluded hosts box
    7. Click the Excluded Hosts button
    8. Click the Add button
    9. Enter the required information and click OK
    10. Click OK out of the Excluded Hosts pane
    11. Click OK out of the Intrusion Prevention Policy pane
