Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

Hello all

We just purchased SEP for small business, and I got my license details via email

I went to the website, signed up, entered my serial number and got to the downloads page for our 12.x products.

I tick the boxes I need, but when I click "Download Selected Files" , I am directed to an ORACLE pop up page (that has minimal sizing), so I can't see how to get my files.

Anyone any idea why this is happening? I was rather hoping to get this all downloaded for Monday, and when I called Tech Support I was told download support wasn't in till Monday!!!

One final point - where do I find documentation on installing and maintaining this product? We will have a 7 PC's and one SBS 2003 server covered - I presume the latter will be 'maintaining' the system for updates etc? and I need to read this up

Yes, you need to download and install java. This is why it directed you that page. Once installed, you should be able to download SEP. SEP knowledgebase is here http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&key=54619&channel=TECHNICAL_SOLUTION Should contain all necessary documents.

...By default the fileconnect will try to download using java engine - you can avoid that and use the HTTPS download - simple on the list of available products expand the selected product (arrow next to the product name) and on the right side you will see button for Https download of the install package.

--> Yes, basically you can monitor the updates also you can configure the SEP clients and apply the policies as per the business requirements.
