  • 1.  Cannot Edit CMDB rules in SMP 7.1 SP2

    Dear All,

    Currently, I cannot edit or view the details of ANY CMDB Rule in SMP 7.1 SP2.

    When I select the CMDB Rule on the left hand side, the righthand side goes blank. I can Clone a rule, but editing it is not possible.

    EDIT: This morning (after I created the initial question) I *CAN* edit the CMDB Rules! I think that this is a performance-linked issue, as the system was a bit slow last night, but not *THAT* slow, as to stop just this one part of the system from working?!

    Does anyone know why CMDB Rule editing is affected so much by performance?

    There is a fix available for version 7.1 SP2 M1. HOWTO81832. I can imagine that prior versions have the same issue.

    Opening a Data Connector Import Rule times out or takes a long time to open when the Data Source has a SQL query that takes 3+ minutes to process

    It's actually in Rollup 1 -- you will have to open a support case to receive the fix.

    Or change your SQL query so it takes less than 3 mins to process?
