Does SD utilize the ADMergeManagement workflow whether or not this is checked?
 

I have the same problem, and it does seem to ignore the ADMergeManagement workflow when this box is cleared.

No solution yet - went on to other things for now.  I am wondering if this is something that was not yet ready for prime time so they disabled?

The AdMerge... workflow is really used. I can tell you taht because on one of my servers this service was conplaining about licences.

Let's check more deeper what can be done.

The first component in that model is a Create Log Entry message, that adds an Error level (?) log entry with the text:
"********** Starting SD to AD Merge Management Process **********"
and I don't see that when I "Run Update Sync Process" or "Run Reset Sync Process" from the process manager's Admin -> Active Directory Servers page. I do see it (and others) when I execute the web service manually from the web service page.

Remember my "Process AD Changes Using Workflow" setting is cleared and disabled. Is yours?

I spoke with support and they confirmed that the AD field TelephoneNumber is being imported in the MR2 pre-release. Didn't have details on what else is imported (hopefully user's manager!) but we'll see ~June 2 when its released, if the release notes are not updated even sooner.

They also said the part of the process that does the transfer of data from AD is not available to be modified so we can only change what is done with data that is imported, like where/how it goes in the the SD data structures, but we can't change what is imported from AD, that as I understand is fixed by dev.
