I am trying to install SEPM on Server 2008.  It keeps giving an error message:

After that it does nothing.  I've checked IIS and everything is installed and all requested services are running.  Any suggestions?

Do you have any pre-existing IIS web pages installed on the server?
You coul try and uninstall and re-install IIS 7 or later (whichever you choose).
Also, in Server 2008, you will need to download and install .NET 1.1 as the system (Windows Update) will only install .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.5 but not 1.1

Here is a link to enable CGI extensions:

    And IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility:

The issue occur when the following items are not installed or running.

Internet Information Services (IIS) World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC).

    ASP.NET

    CGI

    IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility

Steps to install the components on Windows 2008:

    1. Right Click on Computer

    2. Select Manage

    3. Select Roles

    4. Click on Add Roles

    5. Select Web Server (IIS)

    6. Click on Next

    7. Click Next on the "Introduction on Web Server (IIS)

    8. Select ASP.NET, CGI, and IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility."

    9. Click on Next

    10. Click Install.
