  • 1.  cannot install SEPM in Windows 2012 R2 Server

    Posted Nov 19, 2014 09:03 PM

    Hi,

I tried on two of the new build with up-to-dated Windows 2012 R2 Server (running in workgroup), however, two servers cannot install with the same error

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager has detected that there are pending system changes that require a reboot. Please reboot the sytem and rerun the installation.

I tried reboot/restart the two servers, deleted some "pending..." key from registry but still result the same error !!

Please give a hand to fix

Delete the key and do not reboot. Try again after deleting

I assume I downloaded the right versino of SEPM ?

    Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.5_SEPM_EN.exe

    Thanks

    Yes that's correct

Do a search of the registry for PendingFileRenameOperations and delete it. Try the install again

    still not working...

    Re-downloading the Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.5_Part1_Installation_EN and Part2,

Run it to install the Unmanaged  client. OK... maybe later configure it back to controlled by the Internal Central Management server ...
