    Hello,

     

    I tried to login into the SEPM with my AD account but I'm receiving this error message:

    "The administrator's user name or password is incorrect. Type a valid user name or password"

    I read something here in another forum discussion but I can't login. The AD server is added to the console and I add a new domain instead the default one but nothing and there is another user that can login succesfully. Version is 12.1.4

    Please help me to figure this out.

    User name and password are case sensitive

    Are you able to authenticate the user name as a test when setting up the AD server?

    when you used AD test for connectivity, was it successful?

    You said you added new domain right, So when you login in to the console you need to provide the domain name ( SEPM ) domain name  in the log on page .only then you will be able to log in .

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

    If you changed the domain to 'Default' then does it make difference?

    I specified the domain name on the logon screen but nothing. I was able to login into the server with the same account succesfully and my partner can login without any issues with his account and Default domain. My account is new and I want to know if that could be the issue.

    It's possible it hadn't replicated in AD yet. Have you tried recently again?

    Full admin can login without mentioning any Domain, limited admin need to mention the domain name

    log in to sepm and check on which domain your ID is defined. Check if AD authentication is defined on this particular domain.

    Just to know, is necessary that the account has admin access to the server that contains the SQL DB?

    Yes, the test for connectivity is ok but I can't loggin.

    No sr there is no difference, if I left that box in blank or fill it with the word "Default" the result is the same.

    we realise that our DC servers are not synchronized so that's the issue.
