Cannot open restored archived files (Enteprise vault 9.0.1).

Hello,

We are implementing a new backup software Calypso (CommVault). When we restore archived file from our files server, we cannot open the files or the file is empty. It say incrorect file format. It seems that the restore file lost his offline attribute file during the backup/restore. Yet we have good exclude the exe files from antivirus and backup exe file with the registry key ExcludeExe. Could you help us to solve this issue (I opened a case and we are waiting the call back)?

Well it seems like you've nailed the issue yourself?  Commvault is not restoring the file correctly.

You really need to open a case with CommVault, EV isn't doing anything here.

The ExcludedExes reg key just keeps CommVault from recalling an archived file when it backs up, it doesn't prevent CommVault from backing up the files.
