    Hi

I have set up the policies for my laptops and tested it out on a couple. Everything seems to work apart from the fact I cannot get additional users to register. I managed to log in with one account and everything appeared to work properly, disks would encrypt automatically, notification to set recovery question appeared, all seemed good. After logging out and then trying to log another user onto the laptop I would get an "incorrect Authorisation" message on the login screen and could get no further. Not much use in this environment if only one user can ever log into a laptop.

I have been in contact with Symantec Engineers for weeks now and am no further forward. I have approx 200 laptops (some are multi user) I need to get encrypted but am getting nowhere fast.

    Can anyone help?

    Hi

Anyone got any ideas to resolve this issue? I have been able to get the first user registered but for subsequent users the first user has to log off back to the CRTL ALT DEL screen and then the next user logs in. This then adds them to the Registered Users List but I have a number of laptops that are used by more that one person so this approach is time consuming and impractical - what if one of the users is not there when the laptop is being set up?

I found an article on one of the forums that says a command line can be used to Pre-Register users but when I tried it I received the following error:

Validation of Windows user failed, Winerror  = 1326

Only registration of Windows Users is allowed

    Operation Register user failed

    Error Code - 11975 : PGP Client Error # - 11975

The test user was a windows user with an AD account, can anyone see what I have done wrong here?? Name, admin account and password changed in sample below to protect the innocent :-)

    Command line used

eedAdminCli --register-user --disk 0 -u "John Doe" -p Tempp@ss --sso --domain Staff --au "XXXX Account" --ap XXXXXXX

    Thanks in advance
