Cannot test an import export rule in Data connector 7

Hello,
I am importing large amount of datas via the Data Connector 7.
Each time I click on the "test rule" button, the server actually "runs" the rule for real.
Has anybody encountered this behaviour?

When testing an import
it looks like it's really doing something. In fact, if you run it again - for real, you no longer create new resources (if that was your intent) but now they are listed as 'modified'.
Can you confirm that after testing the resources are created? I don't believe they were in mine.

It really does something the first time: I had no resources before I ran it.
The second time, it does nothing because everything is created.
My opinion: the test "engine" we are used to in the V6 is broken.
