I downloaded the .jdb file and followed the solution as discribed in "How to update definitions for Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) using a .jdb file"

The file that I placed in the folder "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\inbox\content\incoming" starts off correctly but after a few minutes the file is changed from vd3d2e03.jdb to vd3d2e03.jdb.err

Please help as my system does not have internet connections and need to keep up to date.

    Thanks

if you have firewall the jdb may not have downloaded properly

there are 32 and 64 bit versions of jdb , have you downloaded the correct one?

OK, just back after a time off (medical) and I still have the same issue (as noted in my issue).

None of my servers have internet access so use the .jdb route. I checked out your answer and that is used for Live Update which we do not use.

Is there a tool that I can run to get more information related to my issue to correct? I tried going through customer service but get a chap from "SOMEWHERE" that talks from a script and keeps asking the same questions over and over.

    Thanks, Stan

Good to repair the SEPM from add/remove programs, this would sometimes re-establish liveupdate component with SEPM. try downloading the new JDB ( many issues got resolved by that) and place it in incoming folder
