Cann't install Veritas 9.0 or 9.1 in windows NT 4.0 SP6

I am trying to install Veritas BAckup Exec 9.0 from Cd on this NT server 4.0 with sp6. It gives me this error message and doesn't compelete the install atall.
Error message:

Error 1309. Error reading from file: c:\program files\veritas\backup exec\NT\Data\bedb_dat.mdf. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

I have tried to install Veritas 9.1 also and got the same error. I have cleaned the server of any and all previous installs. Cleaned the register and run windows clean up utlity.

Please can anyone help me.

The message is the same, but the Error Code is different -

I tried the solutions suggested in the "http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/275232.htm"
but still getting that error. I have copied the entire cd to my hard drive and tried it. I tried installing MDAC 2.8 SP1. I does not help. I am still gettin that error. Thanks for your help thus far.

I still need to solve this Issue.

Hi,

Please perform the following steps:

1. Verify permissions to the specified directory and determine if the referenced file actually exists
2. If the referenced file does not exist in the directory specified in the error message then extract that file from the data.cab from the installation media path ( \winnt\install\BE\data.cab ) to the directory specified in the error message
3. After extracting the file either click retry or restart the installation process which should allow the installation to progress past this point of failure.
