I have a USB that I frequently use on my company laptop. My operating system was recently updated to Windows 7, and now I can no longer access the data on the USB.

The USB contains a SEERemovableStorageAccessUtility.exe file. However, when I double click, I get an error saying "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

Please help! Or, should I contact my firm's tech dept? Thanks!

It does kinda sound like your Tech dept didn't install SEE again after the OS upgrade, so you may want to ask them why.  You'll either need them to install Symantec Endpoint Encryption - Removable Storage Edition on your computer, or plug the USB into a machine on an older OS and decrypt the files using the access utility.

Note:  From the sounds of it, the version that was on your machine before the OS upgrade may not be compatible with Win7.  This likely means the tech dept will need to upgrade the SEE Management Server to a later version in order to be able to produce the client package that supports Win7
