    Hello,

Are you using the Latest version of CleanWipe?

I would suggest you to Either use the Latest version of CleanWipe 12.1.3001.165_RU3

    OR

simply (incase of migration) migrate the SEP 11.x client to the Latest version of SEP 12.1. This would uninstall the older verison of SEP 11.x

    OR

You can SEPPrep to uninstall the older version of SEP.

    OR

    Follow the Manual uninstall steps.

Methods for uninstalling Symantec Endpoint Protection

For this Latest version of CleanWipe Utility, I would recommend you to Create a Case with Symantec Technical Support.

    Is that machine infected?

I would try to install SEP 11.x again, then remove it from add/remove programs. If you running it on rdp session make sure you are on the console session.

NPE is stuck removing the risk, it's been doing that for an hour. This is annoying

I was able to get the latest version of SEP installed and it found that just about EVERYTHING was infected. It was cleaning and cleaning non-stop. I ran the NPE, but I think it compromised the NIC settings, once I did  I was no longer able to access that laptop.

Machine needed to be reimaged, too much damage and the NPE made things worse.
