    Dear all,

I have setup a Windows 2008 R2 server to test deploy SEP 11.0.6a to our environment. Installation look successful and I have create client packet to deploy it in client PC (Win XP SP3). I find the PC's SEP client can't connect to the SEP manager. The status indicate the SEP server is offline.

I can ping between the machine. What should I do for troubleshooting?

Please turn off the Windows firewall on the 2008 server or open the port 8014 in the firewall

the issue looks solved after I enable TCP port 8014. What the installation program haven't enable the port automatically? Do I need to enable other ports on the server?

the default 8014 port is opened as it is hosted by IIS on the SEPM installed machine. You may need to check the firewall thats blocking the traffic.

It could be blocked becuasae of AD group policy for the domain.
