i get this error code when i try to create image

and i have done it like this

prepare for image capture

create image

reboot to

 

do i need to be awayre of some thing og maybe is there a guide for this?

Couple of questions to isolate this.  At what point does the error occur?  Are you using PXE, Automation Folders, or a boot disk?

The job just gives me and instant error code

and im quiet new to Altiris 7.x

i dont have any automation folder or boot disks

 

i just try to deploy the image in this order throguh the agent

and then i will think it should restart the client

A couple of things to check...

First, can you clarify if you are using 7.1 or 7.5?  There are major difference between the two.

Do you have all of the plug-in install/upgrade policies turned on.  We will start with the Deployment Solution plug-in -- can you verify that it is enabled?  What about other tasks, do they run successfully?  Next, how are you booting to WinPE?  Since you ruled out Automation Folders and Boot Disks -- are you using PXE? -- This is where one of the major differences is between 7.1/7.5 -- at least for the setup.

Are there any errors in the agent log that could suggest what is going on?  From the machine that is throwing the error, go to c:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Agent\Logs.  Fire off the job again, then check the most recent log entry to see if it gives you anymore clarity.

Okay i am using 7.5

I dont think i have any policies enabled ^

i can sucesfully run regedit end scrited tasks

just not deolyment

The clients use pxe boot

but the boot to winpe should restart the pc, shouldnt it?

 

 

 

You will need to enable the plug-in policies for Deployment Solution.  There are several steps that need to be taken before you can utilize DS.

Before you proceed, I would go throught the first four chapters in the user guide.  It discusses how to initially configure the product so you can leverage those tasks... 

Should i choses between installing plugin or automation folder

or should i have em both enabled?

Do you want to use PXE to send the WinPE image or would you rather have it installed on an automation folder - you do not have to select more than one. Each method has different benefits.

i think i will do pxe since thats what i used on 6.9

is it easyer with automation folder?
