can't create nbdb when Installing nbu 7.5

Hello,

Iam doing fresh install nbu 7.5 and get error when creating nbdb. PFB the details error.
Please help

Database server is NB_osdbkpbsdpapp1
Creating the NetBackup database.
Creating NetBackup staging directory in: /usr/openv/db/staging
Starting the NetBackup database.
Authenticating the NetBackup database.
VXDBMS_NB_DATA entry in bp.conf updated successfully.
Setting of database authentication for NBDB successful.
Change of dba password for NBDB successful.
Database [NBDB] can't be started on server [NB_osdbkpbsdpapp1].

Are you upgrading or fresh install?

Which OS you are running the setup?

Check if partition of /usr/openv/db  has sufficient diskspace.

But more likely a connection issue to the hostname osdbkpbsdpapp1, check if it resolves to a proper IP address and the reverse IP lookup works.

Do you have a software firewall activated like iptables ?

Try doing a "iptables -L".

Also verify name resolution is in place like Watson suggested.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.

1 please check hostname and localhost resolve.
2 disable iptables and SELINUX

Double-check that you have following entries in /etc/hosts file on the master server:

127.0.0.1       localhost

<IP address>    osdbkpbsdpapp1
