Can't get Ghost Solution Suite (and specifically Ghost Boot Wizard) to Update beyond build 2113

 Hi...  I have Ghost Solution Suite 11.5...  The Ghost Console version is 11.5.0.2113...  The Ghost Boot Wizard (GBW) is also 11.5.0.2113...  I mention the GBW separately because I, like some others have had in the past, am having the problem with the smeutil.sys file disappearing when I try to add drivers to the default Preinstalled Environment...  I have been able to manually recopy smeutil.sys where it needs to be but my question has shifted to why I can't seem to get updated to the most recent version of this software.     

I have run Live Update many times and each time it comes up and says my current version (11.5.0.2113) is the latest but I see many posts and other indications on the symantec site that seem to say that build 2113 is NOT the most current...  

Is there a newer version where this smeutil.sys file bug is fixed???  What is the newest version build number???  And what am I doing wrong to not be able to move up to a newer version by using Live Update???

Where can I download these files

Here is my issue,  I have ventured into the URL's and they are just documents on how to install the updates.  Since my LiveUpdate will not pull down the updates I am stuck.  Tried updating/repairing Live Update as well and it still says I am up to date.  I am at Version 11.5.0.2113 of GSS 2.5.  Where can I manually get these updates?

I also need the live updates. I went to those websites and there are no downloads. I think Randall is under the impression that they are there when they really are not. I'm getting pretty peeved that I can't get GSS 2.5 to work properly. You'd think that after a year or so they'd have all of the bugs out of it. Anybody have an FTP site where we can get downloads.

Hey Gary,

I have only had this product for a month and I feel your pain.

If you go to the area for downloads for this product it will give you three links for the files to download....  Oh, but wait, they don't exist...

FTP site error...

public/english_us_canada/products/symantec_ghost_solution_suite/2.5/updates/Ghost_Solution_Suite_2.5_GBW_b2125.exe: No such file or directory

So type this in your browser to get to the folder.  There are a few files in there but not the patch files. Maybe the ...b2151.zip file is all inclusive?  Who knows?  Didn't seem to do it for me.

Okay, here is a current location for those files:

You can download the Live Update executables for Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 as follows:

The password to extract:

Sym@nt3c

Important: The login credentials are valid through May 8, 2009.

By the way, the 2151 build on the other site  is not an inclusive one, but a separate diagnostic build. This FTP site has a *.ZIP file that is a cumulative patch that will completely update GSS 2.5.

Please reset FTP

I find this very frustrating the support of Symantec.  I should not have to go through this much trouble to get a fix for a product that was purchased.  Can you please repost a valid FTP account?  I contacted Symantec for a unrelated issue about getting my ghost console registered and has yet to have been resolved.  After 4 phone calls I was fed up.

Can someone please help me obtain the fixed patched for this issue.

I need the updates as well. 

I need the updates as well.  Support actually gave me some login info for the FTP site that hasn't worked from the time they gave it to me.  I am pretty disappointed with the support I have received.  They did not respond to my reply that said the info they gave me did not work.

Can someone please post updated login info for the FTP site so we can install the updates manually?

Can't Get Updates

Hi. I have Ghost Solution Suite 8.2.0.1117. I try to update it using LiveUpadate with no success. So, please, tell me, how can I update my GSS build to the last version, since my GBW have problems to establish connection with the GhostCast Server. I don't have a login to the Symantec FTP. How can I get access to it?

Upgrade

Rafael,

You will not be able to LiveUpdate to the current version. I would recommend callng Licensing at 1-888-727-8671 to verify entitlement for the upgrade.

Same here - stuck on 2113 and can't update.

The link above to download the updates manually no longer works - can this be re-enabled please?

Need the updates also

I ran Liveupdate got the first update to 11.5.0.2125  now Liveupdate failed with error LU1835. I ran the installation to update liveupdate

Change the by passed the

Change the by passed the proxy for the 2nd and 3rd updated.  Don't know why it would not work with the proxy when the first one did fine.
