I installed Endpoint Protection version 12.1.1000.157 on Windows Server 2003 with SP2. Well I first made the mistake of installing in on C: and quickly ran out of space but not before deploying it to the end users, mostly Win XP/SP3 desktops with a couple Windows 2000. So I uninstalled it and re-installed on the D: drive. I couldn't do the migrate or backup/restore since I ran out of disc space on C:. So after re-installation, I only have 6 clients showing in the Computers tab (My Company --> Desktops and Laptops). I tried to follow the 'How to install clients using "Find Unmanaged Computers" in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager' KB article but in my version I do not see a "Clients" tab or anything about finding unmanaged computers.

When I do the "Add a Computer" option and specify the IP range, the computers show up and I try to push the install again and it seems to work but again only 6 clients show up (out of 17). What am I missing?

I've attached a screen shot of the left tabs.

I'm trying to avoid going to each work station so I used the Syslink replace instructions. Only 2 workstations were updated.

I found 3 Sylink.xml files as there weer 3 sub-folders with the random string names like 7CD9ABE70A00E1F001C8EE34F4745375 so I just chose one to use in the process.

So it looks like I'm going to have to visit each workstation to try the 'Image Installation System Problem' instructions?

In my system it's C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\PersistedData. And logged in as Administrator, and with Symatenc stopped the registry would not let me delete the key.

sylink proces is fo remote updation. If u will move in base location then simple create the sylink.xml from server copy in nw system then go to unmanage system. Stop smc then replace the file or start the smc.

Well sephwid in our XP systems is not in 'common files' but in the path I mentioned. And I always get the alert that I can't delete the registry key. Does the Endpoint Protection server process also have to be stopped?

And the sylink process did not work.
