  • 1.  Can't set embedded database password in configuration password

A different application we use needs port 8443 so I was trying to change the port settings in SEMP to free it up.  I ran the configuration wizard but am stuck on the database settings page.  I am prompted to set a password for the embedded database but no matter what I enter I am unable to advance from this page.  I hit next, the window flashes and returns to the same page.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is it throwing an error of any kind?

Nope, no errors or messages at all.  I've tried it with the services stopped and running, ran the utlity as an administrator but still no luck.

Make sure that the new port that you are trying to use is not being used by any other applications. Also, try using a different port number.

Note: The SEPM service will be automatically stopped while reconfiguring the server - Do not start it manually before completing the wizard. But the Embedded database service should be in "Started" state.
