  • 1.  Cant take DB backup from symantec endpoint protection manager

    Hi,

    When i tried to take backup of my Symantec endpoint protection manager version 11.0.6200.754.I am getting the following error.Every thing else is working fine as far as i know.I am logging in and installing symantec on clients etc..I attached the error screen.Please check it and reply on how i could take Data base backup?

    Are you using backup Exec?

    Are you using backup Exec, for baking up Symantec endpoint protection manager


    For better answer with endpoint protection manager issue, you should try "End-point management forums"

    HI, I clicked on "Database Backup and Restore" feature in symantec end point protection manager for backup.

    I opened the specified URL,but under which category should i place my post.

    1. Install Java from the following path, C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\webapps\scm\clientpkg\jre-6u14-windows-i586.exe.This will install Java 6 update14 and register it with the OS.
    2. Restart the "Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager" service from the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
    3. If you still get the same error, go to the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs applet, repair the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager install. Use the following steps:
      • Choose Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and then click Modify.
      • Choose Repair to repair SEPM (Note: You may need the SEPM installation folder from the SEP 11.0 CD1 for the repair process.)
      • Reconfigure SEPM using 'Management Server Configuration Wizard.'

     

    Please mark if the issue is resolved
