Endpoint Protection

I am having major problems uninstalling SEP.  I have an older DoD version of the software and want to install the newer version, which I downloaded.  Unfortunately, it doesn't install right over the old version (weird) and I can't uninstall the prgram completely using windows (just runs all night configuring).

The previous version of the DoD version will no longer update.  I am using a windows vista machine.

Previous blogs say there is a cleanwipe utility. Can I have teh cleanwipe utility?

You will need to contact Symantec support and open a case to get the tool.

To remove SEP in your system ,Please use CLEAN WEP tool. It will completely remove the Symantec programe files and registery files.

What is the old AV name?

Try the following tool as wel..

Change the Ext to EXE.

No, do not use this tool. Even Microsoft says not to use this tool any more as it can cause serious problems with Windows. As Cycletech said, open a case with us to get the Cleanwipe utility.

I do not have an individual client support agreement, but I am sure DoD has one for the software.
