    Hi niti,

Could you please post here the log error message (Altiris Log Viewer)?

Also you could check this configuration: Settings\All Settings\Notification Server\Database Settings\Reports tab that specify the credentials you would like to use for producing public reports.

I think you have the same issue: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/change-sql-user

What exactly is a public report? The settings mentions refer to credentials you would like to use for producing public reports but I can't anything further in the documentation.

Does this simply refer to the reports found in the Reports menu?

    Hi Xeno,

This simply refer to reports found in the Reports menu and console areas.

The credentials configured at Database\Report tab generally have some rights on database (like read right) and it will avoid some danger situations like a user truncate a table using a sql query in Reports.
