Deployment Solution

Hi,

Were currently running Altiris NS 7.5.3153.

So right now i have a Windows 8.1 machine that i built in HyperV that I have Installed some standard corp apps and company branding and the Altiris agent manually. I do this as this is my base image that i'll use for updating and creating checkpoints to restore to the point just before the Capture task begins.

I've never had any issues running my capture task on a physical machine, just when it's a VM.

Normally I just go to my Image Capture task and do a quick run and input my target machine name, press run and it Syspreps the machine and reboots and does the capture.

When checking the logs from the VM , i see the following.

You mentioned that you have had success capturing images on physical systems - were those systems running Windows 8.1 as well? From what I understand, Deployment Solutions doesn't currently support Windows 8.1, but if you are able to capture successfully on physical computers then I don't see why it wouln't work on a virtual computer.

Nope nothing special with the physical boxes..

I ended up restoring to a Original the previous checkpoint , and all of a sudden there was no more errors. (I did run into some different errors when sysprepping but i fixed those up)
