Catalog backup failed with 84 . Please suggest me to fix the issue.

Master server os?
Are there any hardware (tape device) errors reported in system log?
If Windows master server, check in event viewer for event ids 5,7,9 and 11. These indicates a hardware issue.

Please ensure that bptm log is enabled on the media server that is doing the catalog backup.
This log will give us an idea if the problem is with media or device. If everything else is working fine, chances are that the problem is with media.
