Hi all,

I'm using BE 12.5 and i want to restore data from tapes that originally was backed up with BE 9.1

Is this procesudre is possible, because when i insert the tape and run the catalog, it ends up succesfully, but when i want to restore the data from the tape, i'm getting a warning message.

I attached the warning message as an attached file.

Hope that i can restore the data, it is really importnant to me. and to the organisation i;m working in.

Best regards
Nahum eliash

Recatalog the media But

Recatalog the media

But before recataloging it follow the steps given below

Open tools--> Options--> Catalog--> uncheck Use media based catalog (would be 2nd or 3rd option)

Click OK and re run the catalog

Please check and confirm. If this remedy worked for you Kindly mark it as a SOLUTION

...and check and make sure

...and check and make sure you've rolled your restore date back far enough to see that specific date. BEWS will only choose the previous 60 days I think (someone correct me), or up to a specific date. Anything else needs to be specifically chosen. You can deselect this option in your restore log.

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.
